Elsevier – Publishing conditions 2025

- Eligibility
- Responsible corresponding author affiliated to any b-on member institution on article acceptance. This is the author that submits the article on the platform and undergoes the Author Journey on the platform.
- Eligible article types:
- Case Reports;
- Full length articles;
- Reviews;
- Short communication;
- Data article;
- Micro article;
- Original software publication;
- Practice guidelines;
- Protocols;
- Replication studies;
- Short surveys;
- Video.
- Article accepted for publication after the effective date of the agreement, before December 31st 2025;
- Publication route
- Hybrid journals: up to a maximum of 2422 articles in 2025, in one journal from the publish list that can be found here or researched on the publisher’s journal finder;
- GOA Journals: not included in the agreement;
- How to benefit from OA conditions:
- Submit the article;
- Select institution of affiliation;
- On acceptance, follow the link to complete the author journey where the open access option is offered unequivocally;
- Upon choosing to publish of the OA choice, the article is immediately available (open) online on the publishers website;
- In parallel, a local institutional contact person performs the validation of affiliation on the Elsevier Open Access Platform, EOAP.
