SAGE – Publishing conditions 2025

• Eligibility​
  • Responsible corresponding author affiliated to a b-on member institution with access to SAGE ¹ on article acceptance.
  • Eligible article types: all articles except articles published as part of commercially sponsored supplements, or content not peer-reviewed ²; ​
  • Article accepted for publication after the effective date of the agreement, before December 31^st 2025;​​
• Publication route
  • Hybrid journals: 100% discount in hybrid journals from SAGE Premier Collection (SAGE Choice);​
  • GOA Journals: 20% off the current list price of APCs in all participating SAGE Pure Gold Open Access (OA) journals.

• How to benefit from OA conditions:​​
  1. Submit the article;
  2. Declare institutional affiliation;
  3. SAGE verifies author eligibility via institutional unique identifier and only by email domain where no institutional identifier match was made;
  4. Upon acceptance, and following the publisher’s notification on eligibility, access the SAGE Open Access Portal;
  5. Accept the Open Access³ route and follow the steps.
